Jonathan Holman has led the Open Finance initiative since its inception in 2022 as part of the CBUAE’s Financial Infrastructure Programme.
Jonathan Holman has led the Open Finance initiative since its inception in 2022 as part of the CBUAE’s Financial Infrastructure Programme. Supported by visionary leadership from Nebras’ Chairman and CBUAE Assistant Governor Saif Humaid Hamad Aldhaheri, Jonathan was able to curate the world’s first Open Finance model to include a centralised infrastructure, dynamic commercial and liability model, aggregated consent model, initiative-wide trust-mark and many components of world first scope and functionality.
Jonathan previously headed Digital at Santander Bank in the UK and has helped create Cambridge University’s Open Finance Course delivered via their Centre for Alternative Finance. He also teaches as a visiting scholar at London Institute of Banking and Finance in addition to being a Chief Examiner and Author.
He has worked with several Open Banking TPPs in the UK as a product and strategy executive and is a thought-leader in the international Open Finance community. He spearheaded the UAE’s involvement in Project Aperta to create and utilise Global Open Finance Standards and functionality alignment.
Jonathan has been selected in the top 60 Fintech leaders in the world on more than one occasion. He is a mechanical engineer with an undergraduate degree and has a masters' in banking management and practice. He researched and wrote his masters' dissertation, using scale social data in credit risk modelling, using machine learning and artificial intelligence, which was a global first.

She leads strategic partnerships, market engagement, and innovation efforts to support the national rollout of Open Finance through fintech across banking, FX, and insurance. Her previous roles include Head of Product Innovation at Aryza and Head of SME at AccountScore, where she helped pioneer Open Banking adoption in the UK. Andrea holds a Double Honours Degree in Business and Law and actively contributes to industry dialogue on data-driven financial innovation and inclusion.
